“My mother worked so hard and I used to go to school without shoes,” she shared.
“There were days we couldn’t afford the basics, salt, sugar, meat was a luxury. Those moments shaped who I am.”

The Diaspora Insurance CEO, Jeff Madzingo also opened up about his own humble beginnings growing up in a small rural village, later relocating to the UK, and taking on several menial jobs, including security guarding, just to survive.
Madzingo said , “I grew up in a small rural village, and life was never easy. When I moved to the UK, I took on several menial jobs, including working as a security guard, just to survive.”
He reflected on the challenges he faced, noting, “Those years taught me the value of hard work, resilience, and never giving up, no matter how tough things get.”
This candid sharing created a deeply moving moment, reinforcing the idea that behind many success stories lie decades of hardship, sacrifice, and determination.

“I keep working hard because I never want to go back to poverty,” she said.

She shared that she has been traveling with her son during her recent journeys, including her current UK tour.
“My son changed everything,” she said with a smile.
“Traveling with him has taught me a new kind of strength. He reminds me of what truly matters love, purpose, and legacy.”

Madzingo commended Queen Sheebah for her work in uplifting the underprivileged and highlighted Diaspora Insurance’s upcoming charity initiative.
“We are thrilled to launch our Charity Campaign for 2025,” said Madzingo. “We’ve reached out to clients across all 25 countries, inviting them to nominate a charity of their choice. From all the nominations, we’ll select 10 charities through a live draw on November 28. Each selected charity will receive a £1,000 donation to help celebrate the festive season, bringing the total contribution to £10,000.”
