A GOFUNDME appeal has been launched to raise funds to cover funeral and burial costs for a Zimbabwean man who was fatally stabbed in United Kingdom earlier this month.
Saymore Kwashira, 23, died in the early hours of November 12, shortly after he was attacked at a property in the West Yorkshire city of Leeds.
Four male suspects, aged between 16 and 24, have since been arrested in connection with the investigation into Kwashira’s death.
Two of the males, aged 17 and 24, who were arrested on suspicion of murder, have been released on conditional bail.
Two other males, aged 16 and 18, have been released from the investigation with no further action taken against them.
Meanwhile, Kwashira’s family have launched a public appeal to raise funds for his funeral with a target of £5,000 (click here to donate).
Said his brother Prosper in a Facebook post, “He (Saymore) was just 23 years old when his life was cut short in a senseless act of violence in Leeds last week.
“This has been an unimaginable time for our family, and as we navigate this grief, we face the added challenge of giving him the proper farewell he deserves.”
The post added, “Sadly, my brother did not have a funeral policy, and we are struggling to cover the costs of his burial here in the UK.
“We are kindly reaching out to anyone who can help, no matter the amount. Every contribution will bring us closer to putting him to rest with dignity and love.”
