Diaspora Insurance was the headline partner for this year’s edition of the Africa Music Festival which was held at Abbey Park in Leicester over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Launched last year by seasoned promoters, Y2K Entertainment, the festival was attended by thousands of enthusiastic music fans from across the United Kingdom despite the heavy rains earlier in the da on Saturday.
Performing artists included Congolese rhumba giant Koffi Olomidé, South African sensation Makhadzi, Zimbabwe’s sungura maestro Alick Macheso as well as the likes of Spyro, Chef 187, Dr Jose Chameloene and Nkosazana Daughter.
Meanwhile, led by chief executive, Jeff Madzingo, the Diaspora Insurance team was out in full force, showcasing the company’s products and services to festival attendees.
