DIASPORA Insurance has, this year, continued its traditional partnership with Kenyan Women in Germany (KWIG), sponsoring the association’s annual meeting which was held in the city of Mainz.
The company was represented by a team which included Executive Director, Dr Sibert Mandega. The team they had a busy day fielding enquiries about the company’s pro

ducts and services.
“We also met with some of our happy clients during the event. This included Joy Zenz, CEO and Founder of African Women in Europe (AWE),” said Dr Mandega.
“Joy expressed how Diaspora Insurance gives her peace of mind knowing that she and her loved ones are covered.
“She took the policy for herself, her kids in Germany and her parents back home in Kenya. Being a community leader in Germany, Joy has been part of countless fundraisers for Kenyans who pass away in Germany.
“She said that the introduction of Diaspora Insurance in Germany was timely intervention.”
The guest of honour at the Saturday (September 8) event was Kenya’s Secretary for Investments and Entrepreneurship, Ambassador Isaiya Kabira who emphasized the significance of acknowledging and empowering Kenyan women in the diaspora.
Ambassador Kabira highlighted the crucial role that Kenyan women in the diaspora play in fostering economic growth and social development, both in their host country and in Kenya.
KWIG serves as a platform for Kenyan women from across Germany to congregate, network, celebrate their successes and share ideas about their challenges.
With more than 3000 members across one of KWIG is led by Jacky Khun with one of its biggest programmes being the prevention of domestic violence against women.
The Kenyan Embassy also attended the event and provided consular services to guests.
The Kenyan Ambassador also visited Diaspora Insurance’s stand and commended the company on the outstanding work it is are doing through its funeral insurance policies and supporting the community.
