How do I make a claim with Diaspora Insurance?

One of the most asked questions associated with ‘how do I make a claim with Diaspora Insurance?,  is, ‘how do you qualify a valid Diaspora Funeral Cash Plan?’ These two go hand in hand.

How we at Diaspora Insurance qualify a valid Diaspora Funeral Cash Plan is straight-forward. A claim would arise if a policyholder or a beneficiary has lost a loved one covered on the policy. A Claimant (a person or business entity that files a claim for benefits under the provisions of an insurance policy) can intimate a claim simply by giving notice to Diaspora Insurance through a phone call, Whatsapp, or email.

The claims and customer care department will then help you by taking you through the claim process that is notifying you of the required documents, removing the life off the policy and removing the premium of the deceased from the policy. The claim should be intimated within 12 months of death. If the company does not get the notification within the allowable 12 (twelve) months claim intimation period, the company may render the claim null and void and proceed to reject the payment.
