A GoFundMe appeal has been launched to help raise funds for the repatriation of a Zimbabwean woman who died after a short illness in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
“It is with a heavy and grieving heart that I come to you with a plea for support to repatriate the body of our beloved Colleta Ndoro née Mude who unexpectedly passed away in (the) DRC leaving our family in shock and grief.
“(Colleta) leaves behind a husband with whom she was staying with in DRC and 5 children who currently reside in Zimbabwe,” wrote Grace Mujumi who is organising the appeal.
She said the cost of repatriating Colleta’s body to Zimbabwe for “a befitting burial are overwhelming for our family”.
“This is where we make plea and reach out for your support to raise funds that amount of at most £6000 to complete the repatriation processes,” Mujani added.
“Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant impact on our ability to bring Colleta back home and lay her to rest with the respect and honour she deserves.
“Your contribution will allow her 5 children to say their final goodbyes to Colleta and see her final resting place.”
