Contestants were drawn from UK residents of African origin, countries ranging from Angola, Botswana, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Mozambique, DRC, Eswatini, Namibia, and many more.
