Like many in their early 20s, Helen Wendy would often connect with friends and family online. She was a very outgoing girl, hard-working, and passionate. She really liked working with the seniors.
The 24-year old personal support worker drowned while live streaming herself swimming in a Chatsworth motel pool two weeks ago in Canada. Helen, who lived in Toronto, was working at this long-term care home southwest of Owen Sound and had been staying at Key Motel. In the video, the woman cries for help less than 10 minutes in as she struggles in the water. Her lifeless body was discovered nearly three hours later by another guest. No one knew. It’s really sad and it’s a bad experience. One may not have the courage to watch the video, which shows how Wendy struggled to save herself in vain. Wendy came to Canada in 2019 from Kenya.
