Gringo died in Harare on 9 November 2020 aged 47. In a heartfelt condolence message, fellow comedian A4KJ Comics & Inspirations posted on their Facebook page;
“When it comes, it’s always a reminder that at one point we will all need to give an account to our Maker. We are not owners of our lives, we are simply custodians, mere stewards of time that God has entrusted in our care.
Death is a reminder that nomatter how many people like or dislike you , nomatter how much or little you accumulate at one point it will not be relevant ,it will not matter. The saddest thing about death is that beyond it, nothing can be done! It’s like when the invigilator calls out “pens down,every body stop writing !”. No matter how many answers you still had ,how many questions you were yet to answer ,it’s time up! Beyond that point all you can do is wait for results.
Today,this very moment is all you have guaranteed ,tommorow is not promised . If there is anything you feel needs to be done for God,family,loved ones or humanity do it now . May the families that have lost their loved ones be comforted in such a difficult time. Heartfelt thoughts and prayers toward them”
