A GoFundMe campaign was recently launched for a Zimbabwean social worker who died suddenly after relocating to work in Ireland.
According to family members, Netsai Tswakanyi – a mother of two boys – became ill just two months after arriving in Ireland.
“Before settling in, she suddenly became very ill and she was hospitalised for a few days but sadly passed away on the 21st of July 2023,” wrote Xolelani Chimwaza on the GoFundMe website.

Fatuma Musanzu Thoya, a 36-years-old single mother of five, who was hospitalised and undergoing chemotherapy in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, became stranded when her residence permit expired.
Consequently, she could not continue with the treatment and, therefore, needed to be urgently evacuated back home to Kenya.
