According to a GoFundMe appeal published by the family, the African diaspora community in the UK is mourning the sudden passing of Dorcas Nyandoro, a dedicated care worker who tragically died on 10 January 2026 in Birmingham.

Dorcas moved to the UK in December 2022, full of hope and determination to build a better future for her family. She leaves behind three children, an 18-year-old daughter and 12-year-old twins, whose lives have been deeply affected by this heart-breaking loss.
Her brother, Steven Nemasango, has launched the fundraising campaign to help support the children and cover the difficult costs of repatriation and funeral arrangements, so Dorcas can be laid to rest with dignity.
Even during the harsh winter conditions, Dorcas remained committed to her work and her clients, a reflection of the strength and sacrifice so many in our diaspora community show every day.
At Diaspora Insurance, we understand how devastating sudden loss can be for families living abroad. Beyond financial hardship, families face emotional strain, cross-border logistics, and the heavy burden of funeral and repatriation costs.
If you are able, please consider donating or sharing the fundraiser. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps bring comfort and stability to a family in need.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Nyandoro family during this incredibly difficult time.
