Job Purpose

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Training Officer with a strong background in life insurance within the contact centres environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering sales-focused training programmes that equip our team with the skills needed to convert leads and sell life insurance products effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and practical training sessions focused on life insurance sales within a contact centre environment.
• Facilitate new hire onboarding and ongoing product, systems, and process training.
• Train staff on lead conversion techniques and client engagement best practices.
• Design training content, manuals, role plays, and assessments tailored to the sales environment.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, coaching, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders, Sales Managers, and QA to identify training gaps and improvement areas.
• Keep up to date with industry trends, product knowledge, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and report on training impact and staff development progress.
• Foster a positive learning environment and promote continuous professional development.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience facilitating training in a life insurance environment.
• Experience working in a BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) setting is highly advantageous.
• Proven experience training on sales techniques, objection handling, and lead conversion.
• Familiarity with CRM tools and call centre systems.
•  Prefer bachelor’s Graduate Degree + Other tertiary qualifications is required; a relevant qualification in Training & Development, Insurance, or Sales is an added advantage.

Working Conditions

• The role requires availability for scheduled training sessions, including occasional Saturdays.
