A Content Digital Marketing Executive at Diaspora Insurance is responsible for developing and executing online marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, audience engagement, and lead generation. This role combines social media management, content creation, paid campaign execution, and data analysis, with the added responsibility of representing the brand at events and ensuring a smooth content and communications pipeline between internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management:
- Manage and grow social media profiles across key platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok).
- Craft copy and visuals that reflect DI’s tone of voice and maintain a consistent brand identity.
- Identify and engage with relevant influencers, online communities, diaspora groups, and content creators on social media to explore collaboration opportunities that enhance brand visibility and generate high-quality leads.
- Establish and maintain a tracker of all brand associates, ambassadors, and influencer partnerships to monitor their deliverables, deadlines, and overall performance against agreed terms. Generate regular performance reports and flag non-compliance or underperformance.
- Draft, manage, and regularly update service level agreements (SLAs), brand partnership agreements, and performance contracts to ensure clarity of deliverables and protect brand interests in all collaborations.
Content Creation:
- Create engaging and shareable content — from ideation to execution — including text, imagery, graphics, videos, Reels, and behind-the-scenes content.
- Develop and maintain the social content calendar, ensuring alignment with product launches, global events, and marketing priorities.
- Produce platform-specific content, especially for social paid campaigns.
- Lead and capture content during campaign and lifestyle shoots, events, and team initiatives.
- Keep up to date with social media trends and algorithm updates to keep content relevant and impactful.
- Coordinate with the Media team to ensure events and activations are effectively covered to generate usable content for social media and customer-facing platforms.
- Reporting on performance and engagement, using insights to grow and improve the social platforms.
- Manage the social schedule, along with posting, and reporting across both platforms including weekends.
- Attending and helping lead campaign and lifestyle shoots, capturing standout social moments.
- Collaborate with the DI events and marketing team to align content with the marketing calendar and wider business goals.
- Creating and capturing content specifically designed for social paid ads.
Event Attendance & Stakeholder Coordination
- Attend events on behalf of Diaspora Insurance, representing the brand professionally and capturing real-time content opportunities.
- Assist in managing event-related logistics and post-event content deliverables.
- Maintain and manage an integrated events, content, and external stakeholder calendar to streamline planning, ensure deadline visibility, and support smooth execution.
- Liaise with event organisers, community partners, and internal departments to ensure alignment and timely delivery of campaigns and deliverables.
Community Engagement:
- Monitoring social discussions, responding to comments and messages, and building relationships with followers.
Campaign Management:
- Plan, execute, and evaluate digital campaigns across platforms, adjusting strategies based on performance insights.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Track content and campaign performance metrics.
- Analyse data to optimise future strategy and content types.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports and recommendations.
SEO and Website Optimization:
- Contribute to on-page and off-page SEO strategies to improve search visibility, organic traffic, and domain authority across key markets and diaspora-related searches.
- Conduct keyword research relevant to Diaspora Insurance’s services, audiences, and target geographies to guide content strategy and campaign messaging.
- Write, edit, and optimise website copy to ensure clarity, relevance, and keyword alignment — including landing pages, product descriptions, blog posts, FAQs, and campaign-specific pages.
- Ensure all written content is user-centric, accessible, and aligned with DI’s tone of voice and brand positioning, while also being structured for SEO performance (e.g., headers, meta descriptions, internal linking).
- Support regular updates and audits of the website to ensure all content is current, links are functional, and key CTAs (calls to action) are tracked and optimised for conversion.
- Monitor website performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEMrush (or similar), and generate reports on traffic sources, bounce rates, conversions, and user behaviour to inform strategic improvements.
