African Women in Europe (AWE) Hosts UK Conference

African Women in Europe held their first face-to-face conference on the May 21 2022 in the United Kingdom since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. The engaging conference was held at Holiday Inn in Milton Keynes. Father and daughter killed in Plymouth shooting share same coffin

Two victims of the Plymouth shooting, a three-year-old girl and her father, were carried in the same coffin at a funeral attended by hundreds of mourners. Sophie Martyn and her 43-year-old father, Lee, were walking their dog when they were shot dead by gunman Jake Davison last month. About 300 of their family and friends gathered inside the Minster Church of St Andrew, in Royal Parade, Plymouth, to pay their respects. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help repatriate the body of Peter Chiware. Peter is to be repatriated from the UK to Zimbabwe, following his death due to covid. According to Sunday World, Connie Ferguson’s husband, Shona, has passed away. Shona passed away at the Milpark private hospital in Johannesburg on Friday afternoon. The media mogul was admitted there last week after suffering from chest pains. It was later discovered that he had heart problems and he underwent a major heart operation.
